About the Author

J. Brummet has had a rich and varied life, learning valuable lessons from the many jobs she’s held and the diverse people she’s met along the way. Her experiences have taught her that, while people may differ in many ways, we are all connected by shared humanity. J. Brummet’s deep interest in Native American culture inspired her to explore and share these stories, hoping to inspire others to learn more about this rich heritage.

Now retired and living in southwest Missouri, she enjoys spending her time volunteering, birding, and hiking. Beware of the Wind and the Darkness is a reflection of her passion for storytelling, shaped by both her personal experiences and her research into Native American culture.
